Founded in 1929, Dixon Hall is a neighbourhood services charity that works to help poor and isolated people in Toronto. Dixon Hall has five main programs: Housing & Homelessness, Seniors, Employment, Neighbourhood, and Community Development.
In F2018, Dixon Hall’s Housing & Homelessness program made up 43% of total program spending. Dixon Hall has two homeless shelters. In F2018, Dixon Hall’s two shelters served a total of 138,663 meals and provided 46,221 bed nights. Dixon Hall coordinates Toronto’s Out of the Cold program, where 13 churches and over 3,000 volunteers helped the homeless over the winter months and provided 13,009 overnight stays in F2018.
