Sunshine Centres for Seniors

Founded in 1970, Sunshine Centres for Seniors (SCFS) offers social, recreational and fitness programs for seniors living in Toronto to reduce the risk of social isolation and improve the health of the city’s aging community. SCFS divides its programs by its six locations: Camp Sunshine on Ward’s Island, Yonge and Bloor, Bleecker, 460 Jarvis, 84 Carlton and 252 Sackville. The charity’s F2014 annual report states that across all six locations, its programs had over 11,000 visits and over 2,300 participants throughout the year.
